Intimate by design
Everything we create is built for gatherings of 2 to 12 people. We chase the magic of a real conversation, not a headcount.
Mini Party was started around a kitchen table in 2021 by three friends who wanted an excuse to throw more parties — and discovered the world didn't really have guides for hosting them. So we wrote our own.
In the spring of 2021, our co-founder Maya hosted what she called a "tiny birthday" for her best friend — four people, her apartment, a homemade cake that leaned slightly to the left, and a stack of printed Spotify playlists. By the end of the night, every guest admitted it was the most fun they'd had in two years. That dinner became the first of many.
We realised the world was full of guides for weddings, baby showers, and milestone birthdays — but almost nothing for the small, ordinary, glorious gatherings that actually fill our weeks. So we built Mini Party: a home for the 4-person dinner, the Saturday sleepover, the Tuesday taco night with a theme. We write guides, design printable kits, and curate themes you can pull off in an afternoon — because joy shouldn't wait for a once-in-a-decade occasion.
"You don't need a hundred guests to make a hundred memories. You just need a good playlist, decent snacks, and someone who lights the candles."
Our mission is simple — make hosting a small celebration feel as joyful and doable as it actually is. No 80-person guest lists, no six-week planning timelines, no Pinterest pressure. Just really good ideas you can pull off this weekend.

If a guide takes more than a few hours to execute, we don't publish it. Real life is busy — your party shouldn't add to the load.
No styling rules, no perfection standards. A slightly lopsided cake and mismatched napkins are signs of a party worth having.
Since we opened the doors in 2021, we've watched thousands of tiny parties come together in living rooms, back gardens, and kitchen tables just like ours.
We're writers, designers, and recovering perfectionists. Between us we've planned weddings, christened houses, hosted book clubs, and once threw a wedding shower in a 300-square-foot apartment. We write from experience.
Maya started the very first "tiny birthday" and hasn't stopped planning small gatherings since. She writes most of our hosting guides and tests every recipe on her long-suffering neighbours.
Jules designs the printable kits, the themed invitations, and the colour palettes you didn't know you needed. Their living room is a rotating gallery of party props.
Samira is our in-house theme detective. She'll research the history of a colour, a flower, or a cocktail, and turn it into a theme you can run with by Saturday.
Daniela reads every comment, replies to every email, and quietly curates the most delightful reader-submitted party photos you've ever seen.
The internet is full of party content that feels like a styled shoot. Picture-perfect tables, colour-coordinated outfits, setups that require three trips to a specialty store. That's not the world we live in — and it's not the world most of our readers live in either.
Pick a theme, grab a guide, light the candles. We're cheering you on from across the (very small) party table.
